A comparative study: Changes in endothelial cell count in phacoemulsification with temporal clear corneal incision vs superior scleral incision in grade II & III cataract

Endothelial cell loss is a key indicator of the quality anterior segment surgery like cataract surgery. The amount and integrity corneal endothelial cells are two most essential factors determining transparency. Aim this study was to compare between superior scleral tunnel incision temporal clear for phacoemulsification. Prospective observational study. This prospective included 50 patients with grade II III cataracts undergoing phacoemulsification incision. Specular microscopy used count ocular before one month after mean significantly higher (14.91% ± 5.13%) in comparison group (6.58% 2.06%). A associated less postoperative as compared could provide better visual outcome.
